Eagles Land ‘25 Kicker, Tripp Bryant

The Eagles have landed a commitment from Kicker Tripp Bryant from Lexington, South Carolina. The 5’9”, 160-Pound Kicker plays for River Bluff HS. As a junior in 2023, he had 45 touchbacks on 56 kickoff attempts and was 7/9 on Field Goal Attempts including a 47-yard field goal and 32/33 on extra points. According to Kohl’s Kicking, one of the major evaluators for kickers and punters, Bryant is a 5-Star recruit.

Georgia Southern has a great track record of recruiting and developing kickers as seen by K Younghoe Koo and K Tyler Bass having great success in the National Football League for the Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills, respectively. With the current starter at the position, Gavin Stewart, in his last year of eligibility, Eagle Nation could see Bryant on the field as early as next season.

With Early Signing Day rapidly approaching, the Eagles now have 12 commitments in the Class of 2025. Judging by the past few years, the coaching staff will likely use the transfer portal to fill some needs, but it is always great to get guys directly from high school to develop in our program.
