Georgia Southern 2025 Recruting Class: Two Commit, Two Decommit

The Georgia Southern Eagles gained two commitments in the 2025 Recruiting Class and lost one over the last few days. At the time of writing, the 2025 Recruiting Class for the Eagles stands at 14 commits.

Commitments

Isaac (Ike) Turner is a 6’5”, 295-Pound offensive lineman who plays for Tucker High School. He committed on October 24, 2024. He is a big guy that plays with solid leverage and uses his hands and feet well especially in run blocking. In pass blocking, he tends to stand up and catch his assignment but that technique will get cleaned up quickly when he works with college coaches. He plays offensive tackle for Tucker and if he stays at the tackle position, he will likely stay around his current weight in college, but may lean out a bit once in the Georgia Southern Strength and Conditioning program. Looking forward, the Eagles will lose starting left tackle, Bryson Broadway, and backup right tackle, Caelan Williams, after this season as both are Redshirt Seniors. Turner should provide depth on the offensive line and do not be surprised if he becomes a rotational player on the offensive line quickly.

Elijah Ffrench is a 6’1”, 185-Pound wide receiver and defensive back who plays for Tucker High School. He committed on October, 24, 2024. Based on the coaches he tagged in his commitment post (DC Brandon Bailey, DB Coach Darius Safford, LB Coach Darius Eubanks), it is assumed that he is being recruited to play defensive back for Georgia Southern. Ffrench previous played soccer at a high level and it is easy to see how that paid off when watching tape. His footwork and fluidity while backpedaling is impressive. The Eagles have made a commitment to recruiting taller corners and Ffrench fits that mold perfectly. At 6’1”, he has long arms, a long stride, and his speed jumps off the tape when watching him. According to PhenomPreps, Ffrench benches 265 pounds, squats 435 pounds, deadlifts 335 pounds, and cleans 215 pounds, so even though he is a lankier guy, he has the strength and athleticism to be a contributor quickly.

De-Commitments

Charleston Floyd who had been committed to Georgia Southern decommitted on October 27, 2024 and flipped his commitment to Old Dominion on October, 28, 2024, just days after the Monarchs beat Georgia Southern 47-19. Floyd is an unranked Safety from Pensacola, Florida.

Sterling Sanders who had been committed to Georgia Southern, flipped his commitment to Boston College on October 28, 2024. Sanders is a 3-Star Defensive Lineman from Blythewood, SC.
